Loktionov off IR, to Manchester

Andrei Loktionov has been activated from injured reserve and assigned to Manchester of the AHL, where he should be able to play the last couple weeks of the season, and playoffs. Nobody ever wants to get hurt, of course, but there’s been a little joking about how Loktionov hit the jackpot. He came up and played one NHL game, and now he’s been drawing an NHL salary for four months because he can’t officially be sent down while on injured reserve. Still, Loktionov has been doing his rehab work in Manchester and I’m certain he would rather have been playing.
