Prospects assigned to Ontario

For those who didn’t see it this morning, Kings defensive prospects Colten Teubert and Patrick Mullen have been assigned to the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. Teubert’s junior season (and career) have ended, while Mullen got assigned to Ontario from Manchester. I’m surprised that Teubert ended up in Ontario. Not every junior player ends up in the AHL right away, of course, but I had presumed that, given his age and experience, Teubert would have “graduated” from the ECHL after last season’s stint. I’ll try to get some explanation on that this week. Teubert had 40 points and 115 penalty minutes in 60 games with Regina this season. Mullen had eight points and 14 penalty minutes in 36 games with Manchester this season.
