Numbers game

As we get ready for today’s morning skate — I mean, game — it occurred to me that Fredrik Modin, with three goals in five games with the Kings, is already more productive than many of the “rental” forwards the Kings have brought in during recent seasons. A list of the Kings’ all-time trades can be found here. Here are some of the other (pretty ugly) numbers…

Cliff Ronning (2002): 1 goal in 14 games.
Anson Carter (2004): 0 goals in 15 games.
Martin Straka (2004): 6 goals in 32 games.
Mark Parrish (2006): 5 goals in 19 games.
