As expected, the Kings’ forwards will skate the way they practiced yesterday, and there will be no lineup changes on defense.

Here’s what Terry Murray said this morning about his new third and fourth lines…
(on the third line…)
MURRAY: “It’s that checking mentality there for me, matching up against probably Plekanec, maybe Gomez. We’ll see how it goes. They’re very responsible, big-bodied guys who, if they play well on the checking part of the game, will have possession of the puck. With their size and strength, I’m hoping they’ll be able to get some stuff accomplished in the offensive zone.”
(on the fourth line…)
MURRAY: “Just a comfortable line with a veteran center iceman who I feel as if I can leave him out there and not have to pull him off the ice if I see a mismatch situation. He’s able to make those adjustments and support.”
Also, just to follow up on Bob Miller, this will be only the 18th game he has missed since becoming the Kings’ play-by-play announcer in 1973. Bob hadn’t missed a game since 2002. Here’s the news release from the Kings, plus a interesting list of the team’s all-time broadcasters.
