With 20 games remaining in this season, the Kings have already surpassed their point total from last season. These Kings have 80 points in 62 games (38-20-4) while last year’s Kings had 79 points in 82 games (34-37-11). The Kings have now reached the 80-point plateau for the first time since 2005-06, when they finished with 89 points. With tonight’s victory, Jonathan Quick set the Kings’ single-season record for most goalie wins. His 36 wins put him one ahead of Mario Lessard, who had 35 wins in 1980-81.
