A new view

There’s a good chance that you’ll see something new on the telecast tonight. At the Dallas arena, they’re testing one of those hovering cameras that are guided by wires over the ice. The camera hovers directly over the ice and has the ability to go from one faceoff circle to the other. For those who watch football, it’s comparable to the “huddle cam” that gives a close-up view above the field. It’s being controlled by the Dallas folks tonight, but the Kings have the ability to use it on their telecast if they see fit. Could be really good. Then again, anything is better than “Rinkside View,” right?
