Doughty postgame quotes

Drew Doughty’s postgame thoughts…

(on the game…)
DOUGHTY: “I thought we weren’t there to play in the first two periods. We were OK. we weren’t awful or anything like that, but we weren’t the team we were in the third. We took it to them the whole time, and we had so many chances, and it’s too bad we couldn’t put the puck in the net. But we have to play every period like we did in that third period, and then we’ll be winning more games.”

(on what went wrong…)
DOUGHTY: “We shouldn’t have any excuses or anything like that. It shouldn’t be fatigue or anything. We just weren’t there to play when we should be, and that’s why we lost.”

(on the end of the winning streak…)
DOUGHTY: “I guess we’re pretty happy with those nine wins in a row, but I know tonight we were a little disappointed that we didn’t play very well in the first two periods there. We came to play in the third and we took it to them. We’ve just to learn from that, and learn that we have to play every period like we did in the third.”
