Dean Lombardi and a handful of other Kings management folks made the drive from Boston to Providence tonight to watch the Manchester Monarchs take on the Providence Bruins. Manchester is back in first place in the Atlantic Division, even though the Monarchs have wobbled a bit of late, with a 1-1-2 record in their last four games. Jonathan Bernier is still strong, with a 2.05 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage in January. For the season, Bernier’s numbers are 2.01 and .939.
