Brad Richardson’s postgame thoughts…

(on the win…)
RICHARDSON: “It’s always a tough building, coming in here. We got down early, when they had that 5-on-3, but we didn’t play too bad in the first. They kind of got those bounces but we played really good in the second and really good in the third, and that was a huge win for us. Obviously the standings are tight, so any win, especially against the guys right behind us, is huge.”

(on keeping composure after the first-period deficit…)
RICHARDSON: “In the last game, we played real well. We just couldn’t score. That’s just the way it is. You can’t get down. If you want to make the playoffs, you can’t get down on yourselves. It’s only one period and there’s still a long time to go. We knew we had a good first. It wasn’t like we played bad, it’s just that they got the goals. We just kept pushing ahead.”

(on beating a team close to them in the standings…)
RICHARDSON: “There’s a lot of teams right around where we are. San Jose and Chicago have kind of pulled away from the pack, but it’s so tight with the other teams. We’re just trying to get as many points as we can, any way that we can. It’s going to be a lot of fun coming down the stretch.”
