The (still) wild West

First, if you need to catch up on yesterday’s news and notes, my notebook from LAKings.com can be found here…

Kings notebook (Jan. 18)

As for tonight, it’s yet another illustration of how wild the Western Conference is this season. The Kings enter today in eighth place, one point behind Vancouver and Calgary, and one point ahead of Detroit. If the Kings win tonight, they will pass the idle Canucks and Flames and move into sixth. If the Kings fail to get a point tonight, and the Red Wings beat Washington, the Kings will fall to ninth place. That’s quite a dramatic swing, don’t you think?

Finally, spots are still available for the LAKingsInsider.com suite at the Feb. 11 Kings-Edmonton game. For more information, please click here.
