End of second: Kings 4-0

With 2.8 seconds remaining, the Kings got a goal, credited to Wayne Simmonds. After a lengthy video review, officials ruled that Giguere had not covered the puck until it was over the goal line. Anze Kopitar got an assist.

Shots are 20-14 in favor of the Ducks. The Kings are 17-0-0 when leading after two periods, while the Ducks are 4-14-0 when trailing after two periods. Perhaps even more than for the goals, the Kings’ fans were brought to their feet by  Simmonds’ late-period fight with Ryan Getzlaf. OK, they cheered more for the McFlurries.
