End of second: Detroit 1-0

The Kings are outshooting the Wings 35-20, and they Kings had 25 shots in that period. The Kings’ team record for most shots on goal in one period is 26. Detroit, a couple times late in the second period, unofficially set the NHL record for “most players in the crease,” as they twice filled the front of the net with players in order to keep the puck out of it. The Wings are 14-0-3 this season when leading after two periods.
