Flames 1, Kings 0

Quite a series of action… First, Dion Phaneuf ran Anze Kopitar into the boards, drawing a game-misconduct penalty. In the resulting scrum, the teams ended up 4-on-4, and the Flames scored at the 6:21 mark. Jay Bouwmeester carried the puck into the Kings’ zone, and Rene Bourque beat Drew Doughty to the front of the net, took a nice pass from Bouwmeester and scored.

After the hit, Kopitar stayed prone on the ice for a couple minutes, but eventually returned to the ice. Terry Murray and Brent Sutter were jawing at each other on the benches after the hit.
