Sunday practice update

Terry Murray said he’s going with Teddy Purcell on the first line for two reasons: one, he doesn’t want two players (Smyth and Simmonds) on the first line coming right off injuries, and two, he believes Purcell needs to be in a top-six role in order to have a chance to be effective.

No official word on call-ups, but I’m expecting to see Scott Parse, and perhaps one other forward, tomorrow.

No official update on Justin Williams, who will see a doctor tomorrow. Murray said Jarret Stoll might be able to skate tomorrow. More notes and quotes to come.
