Terry Murray called off this morning’s skate — common in back-to-back game situations — and instead will have a meeting in the next few minutes at the hotel. That should make things interesting for Corey Elkins, who was scheduled to join the Kings today but now won’t get any ice time with his new teammates before the game. Presumably, Elkins will be in the lineup unless the Kings decide to dress seven defensemen.
Last night, after Jarret Stoll left the game, Murray simply bumped up two centers, with Handzus taking the second line and Moller taking the third. I should be able to find out shortly what the plan is for tonight…
