Looking ahead

The Kings’ three-game trip through Canada starts tomorrow against Vancouver, which is already 2-0 against the Kings this season and has won two consecutive games and four of its last five at home. Then it’s off to Edmonton, which has won five in a row and will be back home after a six-game road trip. Finally, it’s Calgary, which hasn’t been scoring a lot of goals of late but also hasn’t been allowing a lot either.

Here were Terry Murray’s initial thoughts, after last night’s game, about the road trip…

MURRAY: “It’s going to be hard. That’s going to be tough. Those teams up there and playing well right now. We’re going to have to be even better than we were (against Dallas), and even against Phoenix. We know that Vancouver is a heavy team to start with, and we’re going to have to be bringing a smart game, a hard game.”
