Waiting for Smyth

Smyth Watch ’09 continues. Ryan Smyth once again participated in the morning skate, but continued wearing the red “I’m not playing” jersey and stayed on the ice after practice with Davis Drewiske, who will be a healthy scratch as the Kings go back to six defensemen tonight.

Murray reiterated that Smyth will go back into the lineup as soon as he is cleared for contact by a doctor.

MURRAY: “That certainly will be the scenario, as soon as I get some information on that, the green light that he’s ready to go and he’s fine, that there’s no further concerns. He will be in the lineup.”
