Purcell postgame quotes

Teddy Purcell’s postgame thoughts…

(on the end of the goal droughts…
PURCELL: “It feels like the whole zoo came out. When you’re making plays again, you’re a whole lot lighter, a whole lot more confident, and it’s even more important that we got it against the best team in the West in their building. So it’s a really good feeling.”

(on his goal…)
PURCELL: “It’s a great play on the power play. It seems like I’ve been getting chances and they haven’t been going in. Zeus had a great screen in front, and luckily it went in. I felt like I was shooting the puck a lot more tonight and had more chances, so hopefully I can build off this, and our team can, and we can get another two points tomorrow night.”

(on maintaining confidence during a goal drought…)
PURCELL: “Sometimes, when you start in a slump, you’re kind of up and down. You know you can do it at this level, but at the same time it’s still in the back of your mind. You’re in the slump for a reason, and you’re trying everything you can to get out of it. It’s real important that I got that, and hopefully I can build off it and they will start coming in bunches.”
