Murray postgame quotes

Terry Murray’s postgame thoughts…

(on Greene’s goal…)
MURRAY: “That was a great shot. Greener is not a scorer, that’s for sure, but he’s a guy that plays hard for us. He really competes every night. He’s a defending player, but you get those opportunities. I didn’t ask him yet if he knew where he was shooting that puck, but he certainly got it away. There was a lot of velocity on it.”

(on whether the uneven play for parts of the game was frustrating…)
MURRAY: “It wasn’t really frustrating for me so much. We’re coming off a couple games where we felt we didn’t play very well. We gave up a lot of opportunities to the opposition through poor puck management. I felt our puck management tonight was pretty good. We had some good breakouts, we had some good offensive-zone play. The scoring part of it is something that we keep pushing and hoping it comes a little bit better, but it’s a good bounce-back game, after a couple losses at home.”

(on the Kings’ penalty kill…)
MURRAY: “Yeah, some critical penalty kills. In the third period, we really needed to dig in. Our percentage has not been real good over the course of the year. We needed to have a big kill at the right time, and the guys came through. There was a very aggressive attitude, a lot of pressure on the puck, and if we can stay with that kind of attitude, that one guy is going to go and everybody is going to go, I think we can get this thing turned around.”

(on Loktionov’s injury…)
MURRAY: “I don’t know what the extent of it is. The doctors are in there, there are two doctors working with him right now. We’ve maybe have a better feel, some more information, after they get done.”
