Doughty postgame quotes

Drew Doughty’s postgame thoughts…

(on special-teams success…)
DOUGHTY: “We’re doing well in the special teams department. When the season started we were kind of slacking on the power play and the penalty kill, but since then we’ve really pumped it up. We’ve been watching video and working on it in practice, and that has helped set it up.”

(on preventing an Atlanta-type meltdown…)
DOUGHTY: “I thought we were playing a pretty good game. They just got those two quick goals. It wasn’t like they were all over us or anything like that. We were playing solid. But after those two goals, we just kept it pretty positive on the bench, and when we got in the dressing room as well. We said, `We’ve got to win this game. It’s the last game of the road trip, and just blow it out.’ I thought we did a great job.”

(on taking momentum after Johnson’s second-period goal…)
DOUGHTY: “It’s always a momentum booster when your power play gets you a goal. We knew it was a key moment and the power play did a great job.”
