Brown postgame quotes

Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…

(on bouncing back from last night’s game…)
BROWN: “Obviously the most important thing is that we got back to playing good. That was probably the best 60 minutes we’ve played in, I don’t know how many games, maybe four or five games. We played strong right from the get-go, obviously with good goaltending and timely goals. When you get to a shootout, anything can happen, but we had the better goalie tonight obviously. It’s just one of those bounce-back games that we really needed.”

(on the physical nature of the game…)
BROWN: “That was probably one of the more physical teams in the East Coast. Obviously we’ve only played a couple, but they’ve got some big D and some physical D. I think it was pretty evenly matched physically. I think we’re OK when it comes to physical play. We play against San Jose and Anaheim six times a year, so playing against those kinds of teams prepares you for physical games.”

(on Quick’s bounce-back game…)
BROWN: “Yeah. I think it goes the same for the entire team. For him to come back and bounce back like he did, I think it shows a lot of maturity for someone in his position. That’s what we needed from him. He made some big saves at some timely moments and I think it’s a huge lift for him personally.”
