Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…
(on rallying in the third period again…)
BROWN: “I think it’s a mixture of character and never letting up, really. I think it’s a big positive for us, knowing that we can be down going into the third (and win). I think we changed our game for the better. We got a lot of pucks in deep, we cycled, the two penalties that we drew were because we had speed through the middle and got the puck deep, so obviously it’s a big momentum boost for everyone on this team. Obviously you don’t want to play from behind too often, but it’s definitely good to know that we can come out and play that way when we need to put it on, and come out in the third period and play well.”
(on whether it’s more significant to beat Pittsburgh…)
BROWN: “Obviously they’re the defending Stanley Cup champions, and 7-0 on the road, so I think it’s about what we did than what they didn’t do. That’s the positive that we’ve got to take. Let’s look at the film and what we did throughout that third period.”
