Kings 2, Blues 0

After a successful penalty kill, the Kings had a 2-on-1 break. Michal Handzus came in from the left side and tried to pass across to Alexander Frolov, but St. Louis’ David Perron got a stick on it and deflected it past Mason. Frolov and Matt Greene got assists with 4:05 left in the period. A rough period for Perron, who also got stripped of the puck by Dustin Brown, who had a breakaway but couldn’t score the shorthanded goal.
