Murray, on the first line

Here’s what Terry Murray said tonight about the first line of Anze Kopitar, Ryan Smyth and Justin Williams, and the Kings’ strong first-period play overall…

MURRAY: “The team came out and played real well in the first period. A lot of good plays. We were showing good composure, passing the puck, attacking with a lot of speed. When you pass the puck like we did in that period, and you come from low in your own end, you can generate a lot of speed. And it really looks good too. That line was as good as I’ve seen them since they’ve been together, throughout the training camp and the early part of the season. Hopefully they can keep building on that. Williams, that was maybe his best game. He was very heads up, very intense, really skated very well tonight.”
