Kings 2, Sharks 0

Ryan Smyth scored a power-play goal 1:52 into the second period for a 2-0 lead. Drew Doughty kept the play alive by doing an excellent job of keeping the puck in the San Jose zone. Anze Kopitar took a shot from the left side, Dustin Brown got a whack at the rebound in front of the net, and the puck bounced over to Smyth to the right of the net. Smyth kicked the puck on his own stick, then beat Nabokov with a close-range wrist shot. The Kings are now 4 for 5 on the power play this season.
