Brown update

Dustin Brown skated again today and said he didn’t feel any effects from the strained gluteal muscle that caused him to miss practice Sunday.

“I’ve been doing pretty heavy therapy all day, for the last two days,” Brown said. “I feel pretty good now. I didn’t notice it today at all.

Brown said — and I’m bracing myself for the one-liners here — he received electric-stimulation treatment the last couple days and felt fine today. That led to a discussion with Jim Fox about the type of treatment players received in his day, including one device players called “the probe.” Ouch.
