Quick postgame quotes

Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…

(on winning close to home…)
QUICK: “It makes it a little more special. When you come out out to the East Coast, you get to play in front of people you know. And it was an exciting game.”

(on whether the Kings stole the extra point…)
QUICK: “I wouldn’t say that. We played a great game. We were running around a little out there in the second, but aside from that we had a strong first, a strong third, and the team battled. I wouldn’t say larceny at all. You go on a five-game road trip, like we are, you’re going to have periods like the second period. You just have to know how to stay focused and to relax and play through it.”

(on being able to rally and win games…)
QUICK: “We’ve seen that all year long, so far. We get down a goal, two goals, and we don’t get frustrated. We battle back and find a way to win. We’ve done that time and time again so far this year. I said, at the beginning of the year, that we have a lot of character in this locker room. It really showed tonight.”

(on whether Kopitar beat him with that shootout move in practice…)
QUICK: “Oh yeah, a few times. (laughs) It’s a tremendous move.”
