Fox Sports says…

Want to know why Fox doesn’t televise Kings games in Canada? Well, I tried. Here’s the text of my e-mail today to a Fox spokeswoman, followed by the response…

“In my work, particularly on the blog, I get a lot of questions about why Kings (or Ducks, for that matter) games in Canada are not televised by Fox Sports West or Prime Ticket. I have heard various, non-specific and non-official reasons, so in the interest of accuracy, I thought it would be good to reach out to you and see if Fox could offer a specific explanation to fans who are very curious. It seems too coincidental that the 17 Kings not televised by FSN include all seven games in Canada this season. If you have a statement, on behalf of the network, I’d be happy to post it, in full, on the blog.”

Response from Fox spokeswoman Whitney Garvens…

We have committed our efforts and resources to delivering on our all-HD promise to the fans.  For the first time ever, all our Kings telecasts—65 in all– are in HD this season.”
