A couple other things from last night…
— I asked, well after the game, if there was any injury update on Randy Jones, who did not have a third-period shift, and there wasn’t one. It seems likely that it was a coach’s decision — you might have read Murray’s comments about being unhappy with some players — but we’ll find out today for certain.
— I ran into Dean Lombardi in the hall after the game, and he indicated that Oscar Moller would be staying with the Kings, at least for a while.
— A hello to my friend 20lucfan, who always has a nice greeting and support!

COACH BRENT SUTTER
“The bottom line to it was, you know, you only give up 16 shots against, but we needed our power play tonight and we needed our power play to win the game. It was a game where we needed our specialty teams, and when you only give a team 16 shots against you, you played a pretty good road game. It’s a tough loss because you feel like (if we) really did a couple things better (we) could have won the game.”
MIIKKA KIPRUSOFF
“We didn’t give up too much. They were able to score on the (power play) they had. We threw everything at the net but their goalie was pretty solid tonight. Pretty much every game is tight. We just have to keep playing the way (we) play. We did a lot of good things.”
JAROME IGINLA
“We played a pretty solid game. Our special teams, our power play, had opportunities to get it done. You’ve (got to) have those in a 2-1 game. Unfortunately, we didn’t get anything tonight on it and the (power play) hasn’t been as good as it should be lately, but to hold the home team to 16 shots and, you know, we hit some posts and they played hard. They did what they had to do in the third to hold the lead, but from our point of view, we look at our power play letting us down tonight.”
