Over the weekend, the LA Kings loaned forward Carl Grundstrom to IF Bjorkloven and Jacob Moverare to Saipa (Liiga). They are both eligible to rejoin the organization for the 2020-21 season.
Grundstrom, who signed a contract extension with the Kings last week, registered four points (0-4=4) in 13 games with LA and 28 points (12-16=28) with Ontario (AHL) last season. The Umea, Sweden native has totaled 10 points (5-5=10) in 28 games over the last two seasons with the Kings. He has also played in 97 games at the AHL level between Ontario and Toronto where he registered 70 points (29-41=70).
Moverare, the 22-year old defenseman posted 19 points (7-12=19) in 51 games with Frolunda (SHL) last season. He led the team and tied for seventh in the league with a plus-17 rating. The native of Ostersund, Sweden, has played in 97 career regular-season games in the SHL over the past two seasons, posting 26 points (11-15=26) and a plus-15 rating. He helped Frolunda to an SHL Championship in 2019, recording six points (3-3=6) in 16 games.
The 6-3, 195-pound blueliner won a silver medal with Team Sweden at both the 2018 World Junior Championship and the U18 World Junior Championship.
Moverare was selected by the Kings in the fourth-round (112th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
