Audio: Quick hits with Dan Hamhuis

Nashville Predators defenseman Dan Hamhuis, a veteran of 1,082 NHL games, cut his teeth with the Prince George Cougars, a far-flung Western Hockey League outpost that he’s now a part owner of. Speaking with LA Kings Insider, he described the camaraderie built on the bus prior to the age of cell phones in which players would hustle to Blockbuster Video to rent movies for road trips in which the closest team in Kamloops was a five-hour ride away. Hamhuis, one of the most approachable players in the sport, also previewed tonight’s game while sharing the perspective of the Nashville room in advance of the trade deadline.
