-This has probably been shared in the commenting section, but forward Jonny Brodzinski, who was injured during the third period of Thursday’s shootout loss at Vancouver, will undergo an MRI this afternoon. More on the severity of his injury should be learned at that time.
-The waiver wire is open. St. Louis’ Jordan Nolan is on it, as is Buffalo’s Matt Moulson. As noted earlier, the Kings had begun the process to work out a Moulson-to-Ontario loan, which would return a productive veteran to the Reign. I’m not sure if the below is expected to happen, but keep in mind his salary is well below his cap hit this season (which has no effect on the Kings books as a loaned player):
Matt Moulson is on waivers today. Though his cap hit is $5 million, he has a base salary of $2 million in this final year of his deal. He had 18 goals and 46 points in 49 AHL games last year. Is all that enough for someone to claim him? https://t.co/jmM48GWyYM
