Audio: Quick hits with Mikko Rantanen

The Colorado Avalanche, who finished with 48 points a season ago, are clicking in virtually all facets of play. They’re 8-1-3 in their last 12 games and 15-2-1 in their last 18 at Pepsi Center as soon-to-be Hart Trophy finalist Nathan MacKinnon (13-game point streak) and Tyson Barrie (11-game point streak) have sparked an offense that has scored at least four goals in six of the last seven games. 21-year-old Mikko Rantanen, who has 26 goals and 79 points, has generated palpable chemistry with regular linemates Gabriel Landeskog and MacKinnon and spoke with LA Kings Insider about Colorado’s offensive thrust and the surroundings of a very important game tonight in Denver.
