Before the flight…

Good morning from El Segundo, Insiders. Sadly, these fleeting Toyota Sports Center moments will be the last of Southern California we see this week. The Kings are scheduled to depart from LAX at 11:00 a.m. today and touch down at Detroit Metro at 6:05 p.m. Eastern Time to kick off a week-long, four-city trip that will also bring them to Washington, D.C., St. Louis and Chicago. There’s a good tempo to this morning’s practice, which featured this alignment:

Gray: Iafallo-Kopitar-Brown
Blue: Pearson-Shore-Toffoli
Purple: Gaborik-Kempe-Lewis
Yellow: Jokinen-Mitchell-Brodzinski-Dowd
Red: Clifford
