2nd Period:
– Puck is down for the 2nd period. Balcers and Sorensen get together for a great give-and-go seconds in. Good start for SJ. 1-1 58 seconds in.
– Auger rings the post of the rush. SJ clears and turns it over. Sutter sent on a breakaway denied by the right pad of Grosenick. Close one for ONT. 1-1 with 17:45 left in 2nd.
– Walker with another quality break on Grosenick and stopped by blocker. Had a 2on1 before Luff fell. 13:37 left in 2nd. 1-1
– SJ currently with 8-3 shot advantage in the 2nd period. Sitting on 1-1 contest with 12:49 left.
– ONT catches a break on quick whistle. McCarthy cuts accross Petersen who makes a split save. Puck loose and Helewka smacks at it, but play blown dead. 11:33 left in 2nd. 1-1

– SJ Goal: Jon Martin sends the puck past Petersen short side under the glove. Fired from bottom of left circle. 1-1 with 12:39 left in 1st.
– Sean Walker with a fantastic outside-inside move in the neutral zone gives quality look on Grosenick. SJ counters with chip on Petersen and forces a split stop in goal-mouth scramble. 1-1 with 8:00 left in 1st.
– SJ continues to pressure. Doubling ONT in shots 12-6.
– SJ Penalty: Slashing given to Tim Clifton after attempting to slow up Boko Imama’s bid. ONT goes on 1st PP of contest. 1-1 with 5:50 left in 1st.
