PREGAME NOTES

–The Reign lead the best-of-5 first-round series 1-0 after Friday night’s thrilling 3-2 victory sealed by Jonny Brodzinski’s finish of an Adrian Kempe pass with just 11.7 seconds left in regulation.

–Ontario’s lines and defense pairings are the same as Game 1:

–Defenseman Paul LaDue will miss his fourth straight game. Reign head coach Mike Stothers has been tip-lipped on his status. Center Andrew Crescenzi (undisclosed injury) is out again as well.

–Below are the Gulls’ lines:

–Gulls top-line right winger Corey Tropp (upper-body) is out tonight after injuring himself 26 seconds into the second period of Game 1 when he crashed into the right post on a breakaway attempt. The Gulls announced that there is no timetable for his return. He will be replaced in the lineup by 19-year-old Max Jones, fresh off his junior season with the London Knights of the OHL. Jones, a 2016 first round pick by the Ducks at 25th overall, was assigned to San Diego this morning.

–The goaltending matchup will remain the same as Game 1 as Jack Campbell is in for Ontario and Jhonas Enroth in for San Diego. Here are the stats for both this early playoff season: Campbell (1-0-0; 2.00 GAA, .941 SV%) and Enroth (0-1-0; 3.00 GAA, .900 SV%).

–Brodzinski has four goals on 10 shots in the last two games against San Diego and Enroth (which includes the regular season finale). Overall Brodzinski has nine goals and six assists over his last 11 games with Ontario. Brodzinski (two goals), Kempe (two assists) and Sam Herr (two assists) lead Ontario with two points after Game 1.

–The Reign are 2-1 in playoff games at home against San Diego and 5-1 in playoff games all-time against San Diego.
