March 19 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 94-110-29 all-time against Calgary, a record that includes a road mark of 36-65-17 and a season series of 1-1-1. These teams have two games remaining: March 29 at Scotiabank Saddledome and April 6 at Staples Center.

-With the loss, the Kings fell to 19-16-5 against the Western Conference, 9-10-2 against the Pacific Division, 10-12 in three-goal games, 14-25-2 when their opponent scores first, 8-19-2 when trailing after the first period and 6-8-2 when outshot by their opponent.

-With a 3-for-3 penalty killing performance, Los Angeles has now killed off 61-of-65 penalties (a league-best 93.8% over that span) since John Tavares’ power play empty net goal on January 21 at Barclays Center. Since Tavares’ goal, the Kings have killed off 34 consecutive power plays on the road.

-By assisting on Anze Kopitar’s goal, Jarome Iginla now has 10 points (3-7=10) in 11 career games against the Calgary Flames. He now has three points – all assists – in six career games as a visitor at Scotiabank Saddledome.

-Anze Kopitar (1-0=1) increased his point streak to three games (1-3=4) and has 11 points (4-7=11) in the last 11 games.

-Los Angeles attempted 47 shots (21 on goal, 13 blocked, 13 missed). Calgary attempted 49 shots (24 on goal, 15 blocked, 10 missed). Michael Frolik led all skaters with five shots on goal, while Jeff Carter, Dustin Brown and Kyle Clifford finished tied with a team-high three shots.

-The Kings won 23-of-54 faceoffs (43%). Anze Kopitar won 10-of-23, Andy Andreoff won 1-of-2, Nic Dowd won 5-of-10, Adrian Kempe won 0-of-3, Jeff Carter won 7-of-15 and Jarome Iginla won 0-of-1.
