POSTGAME NOTES

–The Reign improved to 28-14-8-0 overall and 2-0-0-0 against the IceHogs (21-26-8-3) in their final meeting of the season. The Reign improved to 17-7-2-0 at home and 6-0-0-0 against the Central Division.

–Ontario (50 GP, .640 winning percentage) remains third in the Pacific Division behind first-place San Jose (48 GP, .729) and second-place San Diego (48 GP, .667).

–Goalie Jack Campbell started his 35th straight game and was backed up by Jeff Zatkoff, who wore No. 37 in his first game he’s dressed with Ontario. Campbell made 16 saves on 20 shots and improved to 25-11-5.

–Ontario improved to 21-1-2-0 when leading after two periods of play.

–Rockford scored two goals in its first four shots of the second period.

–Mike Amadio had three assists and now has three goals and three assists in the last five games.

–Brett Sutter had his first two-goal game of the season and added an assist. He now has two goals and three assists in the last three games.

–Jonny Brodzinski scored his team-leading 21st goal of the season and now ranks tied for fourth in the AHL in goals.

–With a goal, Sean Backman now has two goals and an assist in the last three games.

–The Reign outshot Rockford, 34-20 and were led by Jonny Brodzinski, who had a game-high seven.

–Devin Setoguchi has assists in back-to-back games.

–Former Reign forward Michael Latta played in his first game against his former team and had a minus-two rating and two PIMs.

–Vincent LoVerde picked up an assist on Sam Herr’s goal, which was the captain’s first point in his second game after missing five due to injury.

–Goalie Jack Flinn has been reassigned to Manchester to make way for Jeff Zatkoff, who was reassigned to the Reign by the Kings when Jonathan Quick was activated from injured reserve on Saturday. The 29-year-old Zatkoff appeared in 13 games with the Kings, posting a 27-1- record, 2.95 goals against average and .879 save percentage. Jack Campbell will make his 35th straight start today and Zatkoff will be his backup.

–Scatched today for Ontario: D Alex Lintuniemi, D Rob Scuderi, F Paul Bissonnette, F Teddy Purcell, F Michael Mersch, F Miles Koules, D Connor Hardowa, D Craig Wyszomirski and D Zach Trotman.

–Forward Quentin Shore has also been sent back to Manchester while defenseman Connor Hardowa has been recalled. Shore, the 22-year-old younger brother of Kings forward Nick Shore, appeared in seven games with Ontario, registering no points. Hardowa, a 28-year-old native of Edmonton, Alberta, has three goals and 18 points with Manchester and has previously appeared in eight AHL games with Texas and Abbotsford.

–The Reign (27-14-8-0) are 1-0-0-0 against Rockford (21-25-8-3) this season as they earned at 3-1 win in Rockford on Nov. 13, 2016. This is the second and final meeting between the teams this season.

–This is the first meeting between Rockford and Ontario since the trade that sent Michael Latta to the IceHogs and Cameron Schilling to Ontario. Both players are in the lineup today and Latta will wear No. 24 for Rockford.
