Nolan suffers undisclosed injury in return

Jordan Nolan, whose recovery from a muscle pull suffered on February 1 allowed him to be activated from injured reserve prior to Saturday’s game, took a leg-on-leg hit from Korbinian Holzer in the second period of the 4-1 win over Anaheim and did not return.

No penalty was called on the play.

Very early correspondence with hockey operations did not elicit concrete information on the nature or severity of the injury, and a follow-up email was not immediately returned. Darryl Sutter shares injury information after games about as readily as the Montreal Canadiens shared the Stanley Cup in the late 1970’s, so additional information will be learned at practice Sunday and in the coming days.

In 42 games, Nolan has four goals, eight points and a minus-two rating. The Kings are scheduled to hold an optional practice at Toyota Sports Center at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday before traveling to Minnesota.
