POSTGAME NOTES
–With the loss, the Reign (23-10-8-0; .659 winning percentage) have dropped to second place in the Pacific behind San Jose (.667).
–The Reign dropped to 4-2-1-0 against Gulls this season and 8-8-2-1 all-time. The Gulls continue on a now 11-game point streak at 10-0-0-1 in that span while the Reign saw their six-game point streak (4-0-2-0) end.
–The Reign were shut out for the first time all season as Gulls goalie Jhonas Enroth earned his second shutout with the Ducks affiliate by making 25 saves.
–Ontario’s power play went 0-for-5 including a failed chance on a four-minute double minor in the second period but still remains second in the AHL at 26.1 percent.
–Ontario was outshot, 29-25. Former Reign member Scott Sabourin and the game’s only goal scorer, Antoine Laganiere, each had a game-high five shots on goal.

–Forward Teddy Purcell will miss his second straight game after suffering an injury in practice, this according to head coach Mike Stothers who said after the Reign’s 4-3 overtime loss to San Diego on Friday that there was “zero possibility,” the veteran forward would play. With Paul Bissonnette leaving Friday’s game injured, rookie forward and Los Angeles native Miles Koules will make his AHL debut and wear No. 40.
–In net tonight it will be a rematch of last night’s matchup as Jack Campbell will make his 26th straight start and face Jhonas Enroth.
–Defenseman Alex Lintuniemi, who was injured in the third period last night against San Diego, is out of the lineup and Damir Sharipzianov will skate in his place alongside Tom Gilbert.
