POSTGAME NOTES

–With the loss, the Pacific Division-leading Reign dropped to 23-9-8-0 on the season and 4-1-1-0 against the Gulls, who improved to 22-12-2-2 and won their fourth straight game. The two teams will meet again on Saturday night in San Diego.

–The Reign dropped to 6-8 in games decided in overtime this season and 16-0-2-0 when leading after two periods.

–Ontario was outshot, 30-29. T.J. Hensick led all skaters with five shots on goal.

–The Reign’s power play went 1-for-3 and held San Diego’s power play to 0-for-2. For a second straight game the Reign did not surrender power play goal.

–Goalie Jack Campbell started his 25th straight game and made 26 saves as his record dropped to 20-6-5 on the season.

–Mike Amadio (goal, assist) recorded his fifth multi-point game of the season and now has two goals and four assist in his last six games.

–Jonny Brodzinski had an assist on Amadio’s goal and now has fives goals and an assist in his last eight games.

–Justin Auger, who scored his eighth goal of the season, broke an eight-game goal drought.

IN-GAME NOTES

–Paul Bissonnette left the game in the first four minutes of the game in his first shift after getting tangled up in the D-zone corner to Jack Campbell’s right with Gulls forward Kevin Roy. It appeared as though Bissonnette’s left foot got jammed between Roy and the boards. Bissonnette skated gingerly to the bench and went straight back to the tunnel.

–Teddy Purcell is missing his first game as head coach Mike Stothers revealed in an intermission interview with Joey Zakrzewski that he got banged up in practice yesterday.
