On the focus at practice:
Trying to get our clocks on eastern time and just get some stuff in. We don’t get much practice on this whole trip, so we’re trying to get three or four drills that apply to some system things.

On a schedule that doesn’t feature any playoff-bound Western teams for another month:
I think you’re going it a little bit far. We’re playing four really good hockey teams [on this trip], so I would say that’s way important than anything else.

On meeting twice with a standing President:
I’ve watched a lot of his closing stuff the last few days. It’s the last thing I watched last night. He was a real nice man to us as hockey players and it was nice to visit with and all that. Not many presidents serve eight years.

On whether Tyler Toffoli will travel with the team:
If he skated this morning, I haven’t seen him yet. It was kind of up to him if he progressed good enough. I haven’t seen him.

On whether Jonathan Quick could get on the ice while the team is away:
I couldn’t tell you that one, either.
