January 12 postgame notes

-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 75-97-26 all-time against St. Louis, a record that includes a home mark of 48-36-14. In snapping a three-game winless streak (0-1-2), the Kings have now won 20 of the last 28 regular season and playoff games against the Blues. Los Angeles is 1-1-0 in the season series, which concludes on March 13 at Staples Center.

-The Kings improved to 13-10-2 against the Western Conference, 6-5-2 against the Central Division, 6-8 in games decided by three or more goals, 13-4-2 when scoring first, 9-1-1 when leading after the first period, 16-11-2 when outshooting their opponent and 18-3-3 when any player records a multi-goal game.

-Los Angeles has scored 13 goals over its last three games, marking the second-most goals produced by any three-game stretch of the season (most: 15; 3-2 W vs PIT, 5-0 W vs CGY, 7-0 W @ TOR; 11/3/16 – 11/8/16).

-Dustin Brown (0-2=2) recorded the 264th and 265th assists of his career, surpassing Mike Murphy (263 assists) for sole possession of 10th place on Los Angeles’ all-time assist list.

-Jake Muzzin (2-0=2) tied his career-high (second time) for goals in a game (last: March 5, 2013 versus St. Louis).

-Marian Gaborik (0-2=2) recorded his first multi-point game of the season.

-Tanner Pearson (2-0=2) now has 13 goals this season, the second-highest mark of his career (15; 2015-16).

-Jeff Carter (0-2=2) recorded his team-leading 13th multi-point game of the and extended his assist streak to three games (1-5=6).

-Drew Doughty (0-1=1) extended his assist streak to three games (1-4=5).

-Anze Kopitar (0-1=1) extended his assist streak to three games (1-3=4).

-The Kings attempted 52 shots (28 on goal, 13 blocked, 11 missed). The Blues attempted 52 shots (22 on goal, 16 blocked, 14 missed). Trevor Lewis led all skaters with seven shots on goal. He did not miss the net or have a shot blocked.

-Los Angeles won 30-of-62 faceoffs (48%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 8-of-17, Nick Shore won 3-of-10, Nic Dowd won 9-of-13 and Jeff Carter won 10-of-20.
