On whether the challenges were related more to goaltending or defense:
I think when you give up five goals it’s probably a little of both, but our goaltender was certainly finding seeing it, finding it, knowing where it was.
On Dallas’ quick responses to Los Angeles goals:
Actually, they only had to respond to us scoring once, didn’t they? They scored the first two, and then we tied it up and then we gave it back to them behind the net and they shot it into the empty net, so that was their response. That’s the way I saw it.
On why Peter Budaj was pulled after play resumed following Dallas’ fifth goal:
I was going to pull him after the goal, but out of respect for Jeff I wanted him to warm up, so I told him, ‘next whistle.’
