–The Reign improved to 15-6-5-0 overall and 8-2-4-0 on the road as they defeated San Diego (11-11-2-1), which lost its seventh straight game. The Reign improved to 3-1-0-0 against San Diego this season and have now won four straight games for the first time this season. The Reign are now 9-1-1-0 in their last 11 and have won their last three games in overtime.

–Teddy Purcell (2 G, 6 A) and T.J. Hensick (2 G, 5 A) extended their point streaks to five games. Purcell had the primary assist on Hensick’s second period goal and the secondary assist on the game-winner by Paul LaDue. Brett Sutter (2 G, 1 A) and Adrian Kempe (2 G, 1 A) had their three-game point streaks snapped.

–Hensick’s goal was his ninth and tied him for the team lead with Michael Mersch. Hensick continues to lead the team in points with 23.

–Paul LaDue’s game-winner was his second goal of the season and his first game-winning goal.

–Goalie Jack Campbell made 37 saves, including 19 in the first period alone, to improve to 12-3-2. He made his 11th straight start.

–Mike Stothers coached his 250th pro game.

–Kurtis MacDermid collected his league-leading 20th minor penalty.

–The Reign were outshot, 39-28. Hensick finished with a team-high four shots on goal
