POSTGAME NOTES

–The Reign improved to 11-5-5-0 and now have points in their last six games, going 5-0-1-0 in the span. They improved to 2-1-0-0 against San Diego this season and 6-2-4-0 on the road.

–Goalie Jack Campbell started his sixth straight game and finished with 18 saves on 20 shots. His record improved to 8-2-2.

–Sean Backman’s game-winning goal was his third goal of the season and broke a 14-game drought dating back to Oct. 30.

–The Reign have now scored three or more goals in each of their last seven games.

–Jonny Brodzinski picked up the secondary assist on Backman’s game-winner and continues to lead the Reign in points (7-11=18).

–A few players had point streaks snapped including Mike Amadio (four games), Teddy Purcell (three) and Vincent LoVerde (three).

–With an assist on Michael Latta’s goal, Paul LaDue is now on a three-game point streak with four assists in that span.

–Latta, who was a healthy scratch last Wednesday vs. Tucson, has responded with a goal and an assist in the last two games.

–Zac Leslie’s goal was his second in as many games and his third of the season. He has three points in the last two games.

–Rob Scuderi’s assist on Leslie’s goal was his first point as a member of the Reign in his fifth game played.

–The Reign outshot San Diego, 32-20. LaDue led the Reign with four shots on goal and former Reign winger Jordan Samuels-Thomas led all skaters with five.

–Chris Wagner’s shorthanded breakaway goal late in the second period was the Reign’s fourth SHG allowed this season.
