November 15 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 64-50-12 all-time against the Colorado franchise, a record that includes a road mark of 27-31-4. These teams will meet next on February 1 at Staples Center before concluding the season series February 21 at Pepsi Center.

-The Kings fell to 4-6-1 against the Western Conference, 2-4-1 against the Central Division, 2-5 in games decided by three or more goals and 3-6-0 when the opponent scores first.

-Los Angeles finished its five-game road trip with a 1-3-1 record and was outscored 13-12.

-With his second period goal, Dustin Brown (479 points) tied Jim Fox for ninth place on the Kings’ all-time points list and moved within one goal of Charlie Simmer (222 goals) for eighth place on the club’s all-time goals list.

-Teddy Purcell played his 100th career game as a King.

-Nathan MacKinnon was credited with 10 shots on goal. Dustin Brown led Los Angeles with six shots on goal and 10 shot attempts.

-The Kings attempted 64 shots (33 on goal, 20 blocked, 11 missed). The Avalanche attempted 49 shots (30 on goal, 15 blocked, 4 missed).

-Los Angeles won 27-of-63 faceoffs (43%). Among regular performers, Nick Shore won 3-of-10, Trevor Lewis won 1-of-9, Nic Dowd won 5-of-14 and Jeff Carter won 17-of-29.

Updated, 1:30 a.m.: The Kings are scheduled to hold an off-ice workout at 11:00 a.m Wednesday at Toyota Sports Center; some players may choose to skate at 12:00 p.m.
