Alternate captain Alex Steen, who wears an “A” while the Blues play at home this season, has been a central figure in the Los Angeles – St. Louis rivalry this decade. One of the most detail-oriented two-way forwards in the league, Steen has provided a consistent source of scoring for a team that, like the Kings, checks very well and has etched out a well-established, difficult-to-play-against identity.
