Reign add G Redmann + practice udpates

The Reign have added goalie Troy Redmann to the roster, the team announced on Monday.

As a result and as expected, the Reign’s 46-year-old goalie coach Dusty Imoo has been released from his PTO. Imoo was required to back up his son Jonah Imoo on Saturday after Jack Campbell was recalled on an emergency basis to the Kings following a groin injury sustained by Jeff Zatkoff.

The good news is that it seems Zatkoff’s injury isn’t serious. According to LA Kings Insider Jon Rosen and an update provided by Kings coach Darryl Sutter, Zatkoff should be out about one week.

The 30-year-old Redmann, who participated in Monday’s practice, returns to the Reign after appearing in four games from 2012-15 for the team when it was previously in the ECHL. The Brea, Calif., native, played last season with the Alaska Aces (ECHL) going 15-20-1-0 with a 2.74 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

PRACTICE NOTES

A few roll call notes from practice today (as provided by Joey Zakrzewski): Defenseman Paul LaDue (lower-body) skated with his teammates as he works his way back from the injury sustained on Oct. 13. This is a good sign for the young blue-liner as head coach Mike Stothers indicated over the weekend that the hope would be for him to make his season debut during this weekend’s upcoming trip to Texas. … Forwards Adrian Kempe (illness) and Justin Auger (illness/lower-body) both were present at practice after being scratched in Saturday’s game vs. San Jose. … The Reign practice tomorrow at Center Ice in Ontario from 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. PT as part of a Development Day where the Kings’ development staff takes over practice. This skate is open to the public for fans wishing to attend.
