April 2 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 86-102-40 all-time against the Dallas franchise, a record that includes a home mark of 51-41-22. The Kings finished with a 2-1-0 record against the Stars this season and clinched a winning record in the season series for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

-Los Angeles fell to 26-18-2 against the Western Conference and 10-8-2 against the Central Division. The Kings have lost four straight games in regulation to Central Division teams.

-In the race for the Jennings Trophy, Washington leads with 179 goals allowed (in 77 games played). Following the Capitals are the Kings (183 GA / 78 GP), Ducks (184 GA / 77 GP) and Lightning (185 GA / 77 GP). Washington and Tampa Bay play tonight.

-Los Angeles fell to 10-2-1 in its last 13 home games.

-Including playoffs, today marked the Kings’ 200th consecutive sellout, dating back to December 3, 2011.

-Jeff Carter (1-0=1) has goals in two straight games and eight points (5-3=8) in the last five games.

-Tyler Toffoli tied a career high set last season with his 26th assist. In advance of this evening’s games, he led the league with a +33 rating.

-Brayden McNabb’s three-game assist streak was snapped.

-Lindy Ruff won his 700th game as a head coach in the NHL.

-Los Angeles attempted 53 shots (26 on goal, 11 blocked, 16 missed). Dallas attempted 68 shots (39 on goal, 13 blocked, 16 missed). Colton Sceviour led all skaters with six shots on goal, while John Kingberg led all skaters with eight shot attempts (5 on goal, 3 blocked). Drew Doughty led L.A. with four shots on goal and tied with Jeff Carter for the team lead with seven shot attempts.

-The Kings won 41-of-75 faceoffs (55%). Among regular contributors, Anze Kopitar won 20-of-27, Andy Andreoff won 3-of-5, Vincent Lecavalier won 8-of-14 and Jeff Carter won 10-of-28.

The Kings are scheduled to practice at Toyota Sports Center at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 3 before traveling to Vancouver.
